The Agribusiness Study Program of the Faculty of Agriculture (Faperta) of Hasanuddin University (Unhas) carries out community service activities. Located in Tondongkura Village, Tondong Tallasa District, Pangkep Regency, Sunday (18/9).
The activity with the theme “Efforts to Strengthen Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) in Supporting Agro-ecotourism Village Development” was attended by the Village Head, Muhammad Ikhlas, S.Pd., and SMEs and the Tondongkura Village Community.
Also presenting two presenters who are Agribusiness Lecturers, Ir. Rusli M Rukka, M.Si., and Dr. Ir. Muh. Hatta Jamil, M.Si. They provide solutions to community problems and form community groups to encourage institutional strengthening and support the realization of agro-ecotourism villages.
“BUMDes besides acting as actors, should also be able to act as a node that connects the interactions of several related parties,” said Rusli in his material.
BUMDes as an institution has a role in improving the economy, increasing community efforts in managing the economic potential of the village.
Furthermore, Rusli said, the existence of BUMDes creates cooperation on the basis of similarities and needs in improving the performance of each party.
The community service carried out is a process of applying the knowledge possessed by Agribusiness lecturers to the community in the implementation of the Tridharma of Higher Education.
