AGRIBUSINESS STUDY PROGRAM RESERVES STUDENTS THROUGH COMMUNITY SERVICE

The Agribusiness Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Hasanuddin University held field practices and community service at P4S Buluballea, Malino on 12-13 November 2022. This activity is one of the efforts to support the SDGs program (No.15 Life on Land) by stopping the loss of biodiversity through planting alligator avocados.

This activity is in collaboration with the Agriculture Socio-Economic Alumni Association (IKA) which is attended by Agribusiness Students batch 2021 and 2022.

It is hoped that this service will increase students’ knowledge and experience through interactions with agribusiness practitioners in the field.

In his remarks, the Chairperson of the Department of Agriculture Social Sciences, Dr. A. Nixia Tenriawaru SP Msi stated the purpose of implementing this activity.

“The point is how our students learn as much as possible from the farmers in Buluballea, and the partnership with P4S in the field of education and service can continue,” said Nixia.
