FAMILY ASSOCIATION OF AGRICULTURAL SOCIO-ECONOMIC ALUMNI HELD A TALK SHOW AND BREAK FASTING TOGETHER

The Alumni Family Association (IKA) of Agricultural Social Economics in collaboration with the Department of Agricultural Social Economics and Students Organization (Misekta), held an alumni talk show which was combined with breaking the fast together at the Dean’s Hall of the Faculty of Agriculture, Hasanuddin University, Monday, April 3, 2023.

Also present at this activity, the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture Unhas, Prof. Dr. Ir. Salengke, M.Sc., Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs of the Faculty of Agriculture Unhas, Dr. rer.nat. Ir. Zainal, S.TP, M.Food. Tech., Chairperson of the Department of Agricultural Socio-Economics, Dr. A. Nixia Tenriawaru, S.P., M.Si., Chairperson of the Quality Assurance Group of the Faculty of Agriculture, Dr. Ir. Rahmadanih, M.Si., as well as alumni, lecturers, education staff, and students of the Agribusiness Study Program.

Starting the event, an Alumni Talk Show was held featuring speakers Member of Commission X DPR RI, Mitra Fakhruddin M.B., S.P., Chairman of IKA Faculty of Agriculture Unhas represented by Dr. Ir. Muh. Hatta Jamil, S.P., M.Si., Chairman of IKA Sosek Pertanian, Ir. H. Muh. Hatta Tadjang, M.M., Secretary of the Department of Agricultural Social Economics who is also the General Secretary of IKA Sosek Pertanian, Ir. Rusli M. Rukka, S.P., M.Si.

Muh. Hatta Jamil representing the Chairperson of the IKA Faculty of Agriculture stated that the important role of alumni in the development of the alma mater is currently needed, not only providing input for the development of the study program curriculum, but also being a brand ambassador for the study program, because the current work of alumni shows the quality of the learning process that has been undertaken while in the study program. In line with that, Ir. Rusli M. Rukka stated that he really felt the benefits of alumni contributions in the development of study programs, even the synergy of departments / Prodi, alumni associations, and student organizations can facilitate study programs in achieving superior accreditation and even achieving international accreditation. Muh. Hatta Tadjang as Chairperson of IKA Socio-Economic Agriculture Unhas added that alumni can act as a node that connects the study program with various stakeholders. Prof. Mitra Fakhruddin welcomes activities that involve elements of the IKA organization, departments, and student organizations like this and will continue to support multi-party synergy activities and will not only be useful for the development of the alma mater but can also contribute to agricultural development, especially in the socio-economic field.
