Makassar, Indonesia – October 30, 2023 – Agribusiness Study Program, Hasanuddin University had the honor of welcoming Professor Nishantha from the University of Colombo. The esteemed professor visited the Agribusiness Study Program, where he engaged with students and faculty members in a series of insightful discussions.
During his visit, Professor Nishantha expressed his gratitude towards his hosts. “I’d like to mention Prof. Muh. Arsyad from the Agribusiness Study Program, Hasanuddin University, who invited me on behalf of the faculty and university,” he said, acknowledging the efforts made to facilitate his visit.
In his address, Professor Nishantha emphasized the importance of promoting agribusiness with a focus on sustainability. “We have to start promoting agribusiness, especially sustainable entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship, and green entrepreneurship,” he stated, highlighting the need for innovative and environmentally conscious business practices in the agricultural sector.
The event marked a significant step in fostering academic collaboration between the University of Colombo and Hasanuddin University, paving the way for future partnerships and knowledge exchange in the field of agribusiness.
