PRODI AGRIBISNIS WADAHI MAHASISWA LEWAT PENGABDIAN MASYARAKAT Program studi (Prodi) Agribisnis, Fakultas Pertanian (Faperta), Universitas Hasanuddin menyelenggarakan praktik lapangan dan pengabdian kepada masyarakat di P4S Buluballea, Malino pada 12-13 November 2022. Kegiatan ini merupakan salah satu upaya dalam mendukung program SDGs (No.15 Life on Land) dengan menghentikan hilangnya keanekaragaman hayati melalui penanaman alpukat aligator. Kegiatan ini bekerja sama dengan Ikatan Keluarga Alumni (IKA) Sosial Ekonomi (Sosek) Pertanian yang diikuti oleh Mahasiswa Agribisnis angkatan 2021 dan 2022. Diadakannya pengabdian ini diharapkan menambah pengetahuan dan pengalaman mahasiswa melalui interaksi dengan para praktisi agribisnis di lapangan. Dalam sambutannya, Ketua Departemen Sosek Pertanian, Dr A. Nixia Tenriawaru SP Msi mengungkapkan tujuan dari pelaksanaan kegiatan ini. “Intinya bagaimana mahasiswa kita belajar sebanyak-banyaknya dari petani di Buluballea, dan kemitraan dengan P4S dalam bidang pendidikan dan pengabdian bisa terus berjalan,” ujar Nixia. Located in Tondongkura Village, Tondong Tallasa District, Pangkep Regency, Sunday (18/9). The activity with the theme “Efforts to Strengthen Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) in Supporting Agro-ecotourism Village Development” was attended by the Village Head, Muhammad Ikhlas, S.Pd., and SMEs and the Tondongkura Village Community. Also presenting two presenters who are Agribusiness Lecturers, Ir. Rusli M Rukka, M.Si., and Dr. Ir. Muh. Hatta Jamil, M.Si. They provide solutions to community problems and form community groups to encourage institutional strengthening and support the realization of agro-ecotourism villages. “BUMDes besides acting as actors, should also be able to act as a node that connects the interactions of several related parties,” said Rusli in his material. BUMDes as an institution has a role in improving the economy, increasing community efforts in managing the economic potential of the village. Furthermore, Rusli said, the existence of BUMDes creates cooperation on the basis of similarities and needs in improving the performance of each party. The community service carried out is a process of applying the knowledge possessed by Agribusiness lecturers to the community in the implementation of the Tridharma of Higher Education. Arifin Sallatang 3rd Floor, Hasanuddin University. One of the mechanisms or cycles of PPEPP (Determination, Implementation, Evaluation, Control, and Improvement) is an evaluation activity, one of which includes Internal Quality Audit activities. Internal Quality Audits are carried out by Unhas periodically (per year) and online system for the benefit of the audited unit in order to get recommendations on activities or management actions from Tridharma that still need improvement or improvement to ensure accountability for the implementation of Tridharma. Therefore, AMI activities are a quality assurance cycle whose implementation is a key part of the PPEPP cycle (Audit Mutu Internal – LPMPP OFFICIAL (unhas.ac.id)). Also present were two auditors, namely Prof. Dr. Ir. Abdul Haris, M.Si. and Prof. Dr. Ir. Triyatni Martosenjoyo, M.Sc. This activity was also attended by the Chairperson and Secretariat of the Department of Agricultural Socio-Economic Affairs along with several educators. The internal audit activities went smoothly and the auditors provided several inputs for the completeness of the Agribusiness Study Program documents. From the meeting, the Agribusiness Study Program will make improvements and prepare supporting documents in improving the performance of the Tridharma of higher education. The preparation was carried out to maximize the performance of educators and services to students and alumni users as well as to face audits in the next period. PKKMB is carried out in order to introduce campus life to new students so that they are ready to take part in the inaugural lecture on Monday (22/8). A total of 188 new students enthusiastically participated in the activities which were held from 8.00 to 17.00 Central Indonesian Time. Also present were educators and administrators of the student association majors to make this activity success. Dr. A. Nixia Tenriawaru, S.P., M.Si., as the head of the study program became the first speaker by delivering “Introduction to the Agribusiness Study Program” which was then continued by the secretary of the department, Ir. Rusli M. Rukka, S.P., M.Si., with the material “Introduction to Academic Activities”. From the IKA Sosek side, Ir. H. Hatta Tajang, M.M., together with the chairman of MISEKTA for the 2021/2022 period, Tri Wirandhi Anugrah, were the speakers who introduced “Student Organizations and IKA Sosek” to new students. Each head of the laboratory, Prof. Dr. Ir. Didi Rukmana, M.S. from the Agricultural Development Laboratory and Prof. Dr. Ir. Rahim Darma, M.S. from the Agribusiness Laboratory also introduced their laboratory activities. The series of PKKMB at the study program level was closed with the agenda of “Filling in Study Plan Cards” which was guided by Mr. M. The agenda was held in the Meeting Room of Prof. Arifin Sallatang and attended by lecturers and employees. This workshop is aimed at reinforcing research in the scope of agribusiness in preparation for reviving laboratory research activities after being vacuumed during the Covid-19 pandemic. In addition, the discussion of this research roadmap is also intended so that students and lecturers in the Agribusiness Program have a clear research theme each year, so that the resulting research can be a solution to contemporary strategic issues faced in that year. Prof. Rahim Darma, Head of the Agribusiness Laboratory, became the trigger on the agenda of the meeting by presenting the results of his draft roadmap which was then discussed with the teaching staff who were present at the time. From the discussion, it was agreed that there will be 14 strategic issues, the list still continue according to agricultural conditions, which will be the focus of research for students and lecturers in the next few years in the laboratory. The appreciation in the form of coaching allowance was given directly by Dr. A. Nixia Tenriawaru, S.P., M.Si., as the Head of the Agribusiness Study Program, to 20 students who have team and individual achievements from campus level to international level. This activity aims to answer the challenges of agribusiness HR in the future, creating good quality of human resources with qualified competencies through competitions both at the campus and international levels. In addition, this activity is also intended to encourage students to be more enthusiastic in maximizing their potential, and to continue to seek actualization spaces to develop their talents. “I am very grateful to the Department of Agricultural Socio-Economic for the form of appreciation given. Thanks to this appreciation, we are increasingly excited to explore our potential in both academic and non-academic fields because it cannot be denied that rewards are one of the best motivations for students to participate in competitions. Hopefully this form of appreciation can be consistently held in order to increase the enthusiasm and motivation of students.” Said one of the students who received the award.
